JHU Maha Sanga condemns UK role in Sri Lanka



Around 300 respected Buddhist monks including the Leader of the JHU Ven.Ellawala Medhananda Thero, JHU General Secretary Ven.Omalpe Sobitha Thero, JHU National Organizer Ven.Athuraliye Rathana Thero, JHU Central Committee Members including Ven.Thebuwana Piyananda Thero, Molamure Nandarama Thero, Hadigalle Wimalasara Thero, JSS Secretary Missaka Kamalasiri Thero, Dutuwawe Lankananda Thero, Former JHU Central Committee Member Ven.Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thero , were participated and 500 lay persons including JHU Legal Adviser Constitutional Lawyer and Western Provincial council Member Udaya Gammanpila, JHU CC member, Former Senior DIG and Western Provincial council Member H.M.G.B Kotakedeniya, JHU media spokesman Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe participated in the JHU demonstration where the protesters also demanded that Britain pay compensation to Sri Lanka for the atrocities committed during their occupation from February 1796 to February 1948.
